Mission

The faculty of Science at Cairo University is a comprehensive and interdisciplinary, which, in response to the diverse needs of society. It provides quality general academic and career-focused learning opportunities underpinned by principles of flexibility and student-centeredness. Undertakes research and knowledge development guided by integrity, and quality. Participates in community development by utilizing its resources and capacities for the upliftment of the disadvantaged is accessible to all learners, from local, Arabic and African continent, and marginalized a barrier-free environment, while responding to the needs of the global education market. The faculty addresses its SWOT profile for short and long term planning to maximize the strengths and the opportunities as an internal factors against the external factors including the weaknesses and the threats due to the local and international environments as well as limited financial resources. To achieve its vision the faculty established a higher education quality assurance and accreditation unit offering relevant learner and teacher support, facilitated by appropriate quality information and technology necessary for the quality awareness, self evaluation , audits and assessments. The faculty develops and retains high-quality capacities among its staff members to achieve human development, by using the resources at its disposal efficiently and effectively. Cultivates and promotes an institutional ethos, intellectual culture and education experience that is conducive to critical discourse, intellectual curiosity, tolerance and a diversity of views meets the needs of the global competitive society by nurturing collaborative relationships with its stakeholders and other partners
